Here are a few shots from Amber and Brian’s June 12th wedding out at Good Old Day’s Farm in Midway, KY. It had been threatening rain all day but thankfully the weather cooperated and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Stay tuned for more pics after I return from vacation!
A big thanks to my friend Kelly for getting these fun shots and for helping me out that day. She is moving back to North Carolina and this was our last wedding together. I’ll miss you, Kelly!
WAY back in October I was able to do some work as a second shooter for my friend Shaun Ring. Angie and John were a very cool couple from Tennessee who came back to get married in Lexington. They had a large group of friends who all came together (for the first time in a long time) to help Angie and John celebrate. It was great to be able to spend time with fun people!
I love when the bride and groom sing during the first dance. It’s so sweet!
Thanks for checking out the photos! Don’t forget about the chance to win FREE wedding photography!
Tiffany and Josh were married October 3rd at Buffalo Trace. After an awesome engagement session and bonding over our love of True Blood I was really looking forward to shooting their wedding. Here are some of my favorites so far. Thanks to Kelly Little for second shooting for me 🙂
It was October 4th, 2003 and I hadn’t even been in Kentucky for a year at this point. Heath and I went to his cousin Jamie’s wedding at her father’s house in Irving, Kentucky. I was armed with my very first ever digital camera, a Sony with only 4 mp. I felt compelled to take photos that day and it was just the beginning of my love of wedding photography. Can you tell that I was obsessed with the sepia setting on the camera? Lol.
Christia and Kris were married on August 20th in a small ceremony at Portofino’s in downtown Lexington. Their reception was a few days later. I’ll be posting those in a few days so for now enjoy these shots from their ceremony!
Cute personalized M&M’s!
After the ceremony everyone sat down and enjoyed a fabulous meal from Portofino’s. If you’ve never been then you should definitely go if you have the chance. It can be a little pricey so it’s a special occasion place.
What a perfect ice scoop for a wedding!
For pictures we went to a few places downtown near Portofino’s. First we hit up Thoroughbred Park….
and then this mural by Waseem Touma. I’ve been dying to get some photos with it for a long time!
Put on a wedding dress and you can pretty much get away with anything!
I try to incorporate personal places or items in a couple’s photos. Kris is a firefighter so this fire hydrant was perfect. As we were taking the shots by the hydrant he tried explaining the meanings of the different colors. Check that out here if you’re interested and don’t forget to check back in a few days for the reception pics!
Here are two more great wedding websites I recently came across. Check them out if you get the chance!

Style Me Pretty
Here is a shot from my most recent wedding. I am really exited about these photos because I finally got a chance to include an awesome piece of art that I’ve been wanting to use as a background. I’ll probably have more photos up by the end of this weekend so check back to see more!
